Speakers:

Jackie Dorst’s (1.0 CE) webinar updates the orthodontic team on the latest infection control protocols, products and equipment for patient and clinician safety. During the COVID19 pandemic, there has been an abundance of information from CDC, OSHA, FDA and EPA. So much new information has been confusing and scary.  The SARs-CoV-2 virus’ airborne disease transmission requires different PPE, controls for ortho AGP procedures and OSHA required respiratory protection team training. It’s important for orthodontic practices to understand what are the current facts and latest guidance for safe patient care.

Jackie will share trustworthy information resources and recordkeeping forms to update the orthodontic practice and ensure compliance.

OSHA requires annual safety training for all employees. This webinar includes training on the Bloodborne Pathogens Standard, Hazard Communication Standard, General Safety & Emergency Preparedness and Respiratory Protection.

Learning objectives:

  • Recognize elements of Respiratory Protection Plan
  • Demonstrate N95 seal test
  • List 7 elements of Standard Precautions
  • Identify correct PPE for AGP & NAGP
  • Identify hazard for each GHS Pictogram
