Dr. Won Moon (1.25 CE) presents on Micro-Implants Clinical Pearls.  Micro-Implants (MI) became available in the early 2000’s in the US, and its utilization has grown exponentially. The application of MI in orthodontics can be extremely versatile. Often, we consider them as mere anchorage devices; however, creative use of MI can provide many treatment modalities which were not possible with the traditional orthodontic approach. As these new treatment protocols proliferated, the early adopters of MI orthodontics also had to face many new challenges as they ventured into the uncharted territories.

Through 18 years of Dr. Moon's journey in MI orthodontics, many new paradigms were established with clinically valuable pearls. This presentation will cover various aspects of utilizing MI in everyday practice, biomechanical advantages and challenges, clinical tips and troubleshooting, advanced application of MI, combining MI with aligners, and many more.
