Open Bite is a complex problem which can me associated with all malocclusion classifications as well with a-p, transverse and vertical skeletal discrepancies. This presentation will discuss biomechanics and esthetic based treatment modalities of different types of open bite patients.

Learning Objectives:

  • Evaluate the mechanics needed to correct dental open bites.
  • Identify when to extrude anterior teeth or intrude posterior teeth to correct open bites.
  • Identify the application sites of TADs for the correction of open bites.
