This course takes an in depth view of how to (i) acquire a practice, (ii) properly bring in an associate and protect your patient base and (iii) how to plan for either a partial sale or a full transition of your dental practice. This course is designed for orthodontists looking to acquire a practice and for owners trying to understand the transition process so they have time to properly prepare for a future sale. We will evaluate trends in the industry, valuations, legal structure of practice acquisitions, timing of a sale, is my practice big enough to support a partnership?, as well as a myriad of other concerns. We will lightly touch on partnership models and lease/real estate concerns relevant to practice acquisitions/sales.
