Description

Maturational changes are inevitable and impact the stability of orthodontic treatment results. Treatment plans mostly do not include consideration of stability; moreover, retention planning in an effort to enhance stability should start at the treatment planning stage. The attendee will be exposed to knowledge of factors impacting stability and subsequent posttreatment retention management which is essential for successful treatment outcomes.

Learning Objectives:

  • Implement stability goals.
  • Manage the posttreatment interval effectively and efficiently.
  • Evaluate why retention is an essential part of stability.
