The Assistant's Role in TADs and Lasers

TADs and lasers have become commonplace in the modern orthodontic practice and are a real benefit to our patients. However, unless the doctor is comfortable with the procedures, and the staff has the ability to seamlessly set-up and assist the doctor, everyone's blood pressure rises. Dr. Graham will empower every staff member in attendance with the ability to put their patients and their doctors at ease with a fast-paced, interactive and humorous presentation.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the tray setups necessary for successful TAD and laser procedures in the busy orthodontic office
  • Identify and anticipate the needs of the doctor regarding anesthesia for both TAD and laser procedures
  • Outline the necessary pre- and post-procedure protocols to help maximize patient comfort
