Effects of Technology on Practice Value and Profitability

This presentation offers a review of how technology has changed since 1989 in orthodontic practices (28 years). A variety of examples will be provided and current overhead spending norms will be discussed. There will be a review of average valuations over the last decade with comments on how technology that was deployed effected practice value.

  • Describe how the evolution of technology to provide orthodontic treatment has changed and affected overhead norms
  • Evaluate the importance of consumer communication technology and data analytics in practice planning
  • Discuss realistic overhead benchmarks as well as new ways to analyze your practice from financial perspectives
