Charles J. Burstone DDS, MS

Dr. Burstone has published more than 200 papers and book chapters in the field of orthodontics. He has developed the segmented arch technique and has carried out extensive clinical and basic research in the biomechanics of tooth movement and orthodontic appliances. He was one of the early developers of interactive active computer programs for diagnosis and treatment planning, as well as the co-developer of the wire alloys TMA and Chinese NiTi. He has pioneered the application of long-fiber reinforced composites in appliance design and use.
