Dr. David Engen received his Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology from Purdue University and his Masters of Science degree in Physiology and Biophysics from Indiana University prior to earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Indiana University School of Dentistry. He received specialty training in both Periodontics and Orthodontics, making him one of a handful of specialists in the country to hold both specialties. He received the Master of Science in Dentistry degree along with his specialty credentials. Dr. Engen is board certified with the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Engen is an active member in the American Academy of Periodontology, American Association of Orthodontics, Washington State Society of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, and is the director of the Spokane Study Club which emphasizes comprehensive dental care. Dr. Engen is a co-founder of the Inland Northwest Dental Hygiene Study Club which holds the title for the largest dental hygiene study club in the nation. He has lectured in multiple states, multiple universities, national meetings as well as locally. He maintains a full time private practice in Spokane Washington.
