Claudia L. Cruz DDS, MPH, MS

Dr. Claudia Cruz received her first orthodontics certificate as a specialist from the Argentinean Society of Orthodontics in Buenos Aires. She spent ten years as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the graduate program at the NYU Department of Orthodontics and served as a consultant to the Bronx-Care Orthodontic Program. While serving to these prestigious clinics, her interest in understanding the socio-behavioral factors that affect the efficacy of traditional strategies in orthodontics led her to pursue a Master’s in Public Health at NYU, followed by Dental Public Health coursework at Columbia University. She would later receive a Master of Science in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from Columbia University in New York. She is particularly interested in clinical research and policymaking to facilitate optimal delivery of care in orthodontics. Dr. Cruz is currently in private practice and serving as an Ad-Hoc Consultant in Oral Health Risk at Columbia University.
