Dr. Wellington Rody Jr. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Florida, Gainesville. Dr. Rody has a bachelor of dental science, certificate in orthodontics and master’s degree in oral biology. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) and director of the IADR craniofacial biology group. Dr. Rody used to be in private practice for eight years in Brazil before joining full-time academia in North America. He currently practices one day a week at the University of Florida faculty clinic and is heavily involved in the overall clinical training and didactic education of orthodontic residents. Dr. Rody received many awards from the AAO and AAOF for his dedication to orthodontic education and translational research projects.
