Thomas J. Cangialosi DDS, CertOrtho

Dr. Thomas Cangialosi is professor and chair of the Orthodontic Department at Rutgers University School of Dental Medicine. He has previously served as the Leuman Waugh endowed professor, chair of the Section of Growth and Development and Director of the Division of Orthodontics at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, where he has also served as associate dean for postdoctoral education and associate dean for student affairs. He was co-director of the Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Center at the Columbia Presbyterian Children’s Hospital of New York for 15 years. He is a past director and past president of the American Board of Orthodontics and served on the AAO Council on Orthodontic Education. He is currently an examiner for the ABO clinical examination and a consultant to the ABO written examination committee. He served as the commissioner representing the specialty of Orthodontics on the Commission on Dental Accreditation from 2011-2015. He has published and lectured nationally and internationally. He was the 2013 recipient of the AAO Albert H. Ketcham Memorial Award.
