Dr. Sercan Akyalcin DDS, MS, PhD

Dr. Sercan Akyalcin received his clinical training from the Orthodontic Program at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He is currently serving as the Head of Orthodontics at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Starting early in his career, Dr. Akyalcin developed his scholarship with continued support from The American Association of Orthodontists and The American Association of Orthodontists Foundation. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed papers, eleven book chapters, co-authored an orthodontic textbook, and has received many prestigious awards, including the 2019 Edward H. Angle Research Prize. Dr. Akyalcin has been invited nationally and internationally to many forums and conferences as a speaker and an educational expert.
