Dr. Ramesh Sabhlok obtained his BDS (Honors) and MDS (Orthodontics) from King George’s Medical College, University of Lucknow, India and obtained Certificate in Orthodontics from University of Louisiana., New Orleans, USA. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, Fellow of the Royal college of Physicians & Surgeons Glasgow, Diplomate of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and also a Diplomate of the Indian Board of Orthodontics. He was awarded WHO fellowship to USA for Advanced Training in Orthodontics at the School of Dentistry, University of Louisiana, New Orleans, School of Dentistry University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and College of Dentistry, University of Illinois, Chicago. He has held senior teaching and clinical positions in India and across the Middle East for last four decades. He was Chairman, Department of Orthodontics, Dubai Health Authority, Government of Dubai for two decades. Presently, he is in exclusive Orthodontic practice in Dubai, United Arab Emirates since October 2010 and also Adjunct Professor in the University of Manipal, India. Dr. Sabhlok has special interest in efficient and effective utilization of Contemporary Orthodontic appliances, Growth modulation with Functional appliances and Non-Extraction treatment. He has worked exclusively with the Pre-adjusted appliance system for the last 40 years and now for the last 20 years is actively involved with MBT Philosophy.
Dr. Sabhlok was International Consultant Editor of the Journal of Indian Orthodontic Society. He has presented several seminars, Symposiums, presentations as Keynote speaker and Continuing Educational Courses in various International, National Orthodontic and Dental conferences and has many publications to his credit and is on the advisory board of many teaching Institutions. Recently published chapters in the book on Functional Appliances by Dr. William Clark. Also published a book on MBT treatment Philosophy. He is an active member of many International Orthodontic and Dental Organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, Fellow of the American College Of Dentists, Fellow of the International College of Dentists and Fellow of the Academy of Dentistry International. He is the recipient several awards and honors from several Orthodontic Societies worldwide. He was responsible for establishing Emirates Orthodontic Society.
