Ahmed Ghoneima BDS, MSc, PhD, MSD

Dr. Ahmed Ghoneima is a Professor and Program Director of Orthodontics at the UCLA School of Dentistry. He earned his BDS, Master of Science, and PhD from Al-Azhar University in Egypt, and later completed a Master of Science and Certificate in Orthodontics at Indiana University in the United States. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. His academic and research interests include 3D imaging, clear aligner design, airway analysis, and virtual reality applications in orthodontics. He has authored more than 80 research publications and book chapters and has received multiple awards recognizing his contributions to teaching, innovation, and orthodontic research.
