Since 1998, Dr. Alessandra Lucchese has been a full-time teacher researcher and clinician Professor of Orthognathodontics and Gnathology, and Pedodontics on the Degree Course in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics and at the School of Specialization in Orthodontics at the University of Ferrara, and since 2012, at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University, IRCSS San Raffaele Hospital, Milan, Italy. She is author of over 150 scientific publications in national and international journals with impact factor and author of textbooks and book chapters and a speaker at numerous national and international conferences. For scientific merits, she has been the winner of over 20 Awards. She is a reviewer for AJODO, Angle Orthod, EJO, EJPD, PIO and other journals and member of the Editorial Board and Editor in Chief of several orthodontic and dental journals. She is a member of SIDO, AAO, EOS, WFO, SFODF, CDUO, SIOCMF, and Founding Member of SIAD (Italian Society of Straight Wire Techniques). Her main present and past topics of research activities have been focused on: early treatment, Class II and Class III treatment in growth patients and in adult patients, dentofacial orthopaedics, fixed orthodontic techniques, MBT and MB 5.0 techniques, non-extractions treatment, Orthognathic surgery, aligners, retention, oral microbiology, OSAS, genetics and changes in oral microbiota due to orthodontic appliances.
