Dr. Alyssa Emory-Carter DDS, MS

Dr. Alyssa Emory-Carter has been noted for her commitment to excellence in and radiant positivity about the future of the orthodontic profession. She appreciates product and software advancements and has been selected to participate in clinical and FDA trials for innovative orthodontic products. Her love for learning has resulted in membership to Ormco Insiders, Schulman Study Group, OrthopreneursRD, and NPG Mastermind. She currently serves as a Key Opinion Leader for Dental Monitoring and Spark, and a Clinical Advisor for On Demand Orthodontist and speaks on clinical excellence and business insights nationally and internationally. She has also been featured on multiple podcasts and has contributed to multiple articles. Dr. Emory-Carter attended Oklahoma State University and within three years earned a Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Biology, and a minor in General Business. She completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry. Alongside completing her DDS, she earned a Certificate in Healthcare Education from Texas A&M Health Science Center. She completed her orthodontic residency at the University of Florida College of Dentistry where she received her Certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Science in Dental Sciences. Throughout her educational journey, she earned numerous leadership and academic awards, including the AAO Charley Schultz Resident Scholar Award. Her research efforts were published in the Public Library of Sciences journal. Most recently, she completed AAO’s Wharton MBO Program. She returned to her hometown in 2017 and is now the owner of Dr. Alyssa Orthodontics in Sherman, Bonham, and Gainesville, Texas. Each year in practice, she has been honored to be the recipient of the Texoma’s Best ‘Top Orthodontist’ award. She truly believes in constant pursuit for growth, both personally and professionally, to better the lives of her patients, team, community, and the orthodontic and dental profession as a whole.
