Dr. Sonis is a graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He received his pediatric dental training at Childrens Hospital, Boston and Harvard University School of Dental Medicine, his orthodontic training at Boston University Goldman School of Dentistry, and his oral medicine training at Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. He is board certified in oral medicine and pediatric dentistry and is on the editorial board of Pediatric Dentistryand is a consultant and reviewer for the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. He currently holds the rank of clinical professor in the Department of Developmental Biology at Harvard and is senior associate in the Department of Dentistry at Childrens Hospital, Boston. He is a partner in a group dental practice in Newton, MA.
