Dr. Benjamin Chan DMD, MS

Dr. Benjamin Chan is an orthodontist, educator, and innovator working at the intersection of clinical care, education, and emerging technology. He divides his time between teaching future specialists and leading a modern orthodontic and pediatric practice, giving him a firsthand perspective on the increasing complexity of clinical decision-making, education, and information overload in today’s profession. Dr. Chan is a Senior Clinical Instructor in Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and the owner of Cumberland Dental Specialists in Rhode Island. With over a decade of experience across academics, private practice, mentorship, and leadership, he is known for translating complex biologic, clinical, and technological systems into practical tools that elevate patient care and professional growth. His work spans orthodontics, pediatric collaboration, dental stem cell research, and evidence-based education, with a career-long focus on thoughtful innovation.
