Dr. Bruno Gribel DDS, MSc

Dr. Bruno Gribel has dedicated the last 20 years developing 3D Technologies to improve the quality of care through better diagnosis, treatment planing and digital manufacturing tools. In 2005 he published the first 3D cephalometric analysis for CBCT scans. This comprehensive analysis included traditional 2D cephalometric measurements and new craniofacial measurements to access the oclusal plane inclinations and facial asymmetries. In 2006 he developed a novel algorithm to convert 2D Cephalometric standards in to 3D inaugurating quantitative craniofacial diagnosis as a bases for virtual 3D treatment planning of orthodontic patients. Since 2007 he has provided diagnosis and planning services to over 6,000 orthognathic patients and introduced 3D printing of surgical guides using digital models (STL) merged with DICOM files. In 2009 he published the methodology for TAD guides and in 2010 guided dental implants for partially edentulous patients. In 2011 he developed the first orthodontic aligner system in Brazil, that has evolved over the years to a comprehensive solution for multiple types of malocclusions. In 2014 he published the first article on Indirect bonding using a 3D printed guide. since then he has published several articles on IDB Guides accuracy and reproducibility In 2017 he has developed a novel appliance for treatment of Cleft lip and palate babies using clear aligner technology and 3D printed nasal hooks for nasal molding. This appliance has been used in several countries and has been published by several pier reviewed journals. since 2018 he has been developing direct 3D printed appliances including clear aligners. Dr. Bruno Gribel has clinical and research expertises to develop new applications and new technologies for 3D diagnosis, treatment planning software and digital manufacturing of appliances that help clinicians be more efficient with treatments that are less invasive to patients.
