Carolina Frota DDS, MSc

Dr. Carolina Frota is an Assistant Professor and Director of Predoctoral Orthodontics in the Department of Orthodontics and Oral Facial Genetics at the Indiana University School of Dentistry (IUSD). She also serves as a Craniofacial Orthodontist on the Cleft and Craniofacial Team at Riley Hospital for Children. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Fortaleza in Brazil and specialized in Craniofacial Orthodontics through advanced training at the renowned Hospital for Rehabilitation of Craniofacial Anomalies at the University of S?o Paulo, where she also obtained a Master of Science in Rehabilitation of Orofacial Clefts. Dr. Frota’s international experience includes serving on a Craniofacial Team in Brazil while maintaining a private practice and teaching part-time. Before joining IUSD, she was Co-Director of the Graduate Orthodontic Clinic at the University of Manitoba in Canada. Passionate about education and community service, Dr. Frota is dedicated to raising awareness of craniofacial differences and improving treatment outcomes through patient-centered care.
