Dr. Bourauel is Professor and holds the Endowed Chair of Oral Technology of the Dental Clinic at the University of Bonn. He studied physics at the University of Bonn and from 1987 to 2006 headed the Orthodontic Biomechanics Laboratory there. The main focus of his scientific work lies in the fields of dental biomechanics and materials science.
