Christopher Oviedo

Christopher Oviedo received a Bachelor’s degree in General Biology with a minor in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego and a degree in Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. After graduating from dental school, he practiced in the United States Navy for three years and deployed to Afghanistan during that time. After serving our country, Dr. Oviedo returned to school and received a master’s degree in Craniofacial Biology and a Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Southern California (USC). Upon graduation, Dr. Oviedo worked for four years then went into private practice in San Francisco, CA, where he resides today. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, an Affiliate Member of the Northern California Chapter of the Angle Society, an adjunct clinical faculty member in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Pacific, belongs to numerous Study Clubs, is on the Board of Directors for the San Francisco Dental Society, and serves as the Staff Orthodontist at the VA Hospital in San Francisco. He has been involved with the management of Sustainability in dentistry since he was a dental student more than 15 years ago and has presented on the subject numerous times. He also served on the Board of a non-profit organization, who organized the first Conference on Managing Sustainability in Dentistry, which was held in Reykjavik, Iceland in 2018. In his free time, Dr. Oviedo enjoys traveling, reading, sports, art projects, and spending time with his family and friends.
