Dr. Chun-Hsi Chung DMD, MS

Dr. Chun-Hsi Chung is Professor, Chair and Program Director of the Department of Orthodontics, University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He served as the Director of the American Board of Orthodontics (2010-2018), and the President of the American Board of Orthodontics (2017-2018). Dr. Chung received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1986 and Orthodontic Certificate with Master of Science in Oral Biology in 1992 from the University of Pennsylvania. He has received numerous awards and honors, including the University of Pennsylvania Research Foundation Award, the American Association of Orthodontists Award as the Co-chair of the Scientific Program of the Annual Session of the American Association of Orthodontists in 2018 and 2022, and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists in 2024. Dr. Chung has an extensive record of publications in peer-reviewed journals and has been an active member of the E. H. Angle Society of Orthodontists since 2003, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics since 2002.
