Dr. Daniela Garbo MD, DDS, MSc, Specialist in Orthodontics

Dr. Daniela Garbo graduated in Medicine in 1992 and Dentistry in 1995, she completed a Diploma in Periodontology in 1996, all from the University of Turin, Italy. She completed a full-time three-year postgraduate program in Orthodontics at the Royal Dental College, Aarhus University (Denmark), under the direction of Professor Birte Melsen, obtaining the degree of Specialist in Orthodontics in 2001 and a Master of Science in Orthodontics in 2003. She was awarded the SIDO Prize for Best Oral Presentation in the Osteodistraction section (2003) and Best Poster at the SIDO Congress (2017). She also achieved Diplomate status from the Italian Board of Orthodontics (2013) and the European Board of Orthodontics (2020). Since 2007, she has been a faculty member of the EFP Master in Periodontology at the University of Turin. She's also a guest lecturer in the International Short-term Postgraduate Course in Orthodontics at Aarhus University since 2011. Lecturer in the Postgraduate Orthodontic Programs at the University of Turin and at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University, Milan. She served as President of the Italian Society of Biomechanics and Segmented Arch (SIBOS) in 2019–2020 and as Treasurer of the Italian Society of Orthodontics (SIDO) in 2020–2021. She is the incoming President of Italian Society of Orthodontics for 2026 and is an elected member of the World Federation of Orthodontists 2025-30 Executive Commette. She has authored several scientific publications in the field of orthodontics and is a regular invited speaker at international conferences. She is an active member of SIDO, AAO, WFO, and EOS and maintains a private orthodontic practice in Turin, Italy.
