Dr. Desirée Walker DDS, FICD

Dr. Desirée Walker is a general dentist and owner of a ground up construction, state-of the-art dental practice called Lumber River Dental in Lumberton North Carolina. Also known in many circles as the Ninja Dentist, she is a three (3) time competitor on the hit NBC television show American Ninja Warrior. She is a UNC- Chapel Hill School of Dentistry graduate, a fellow of the International College of Dentists, and member the ADA, AGD, American Academy of Clear Aligners, and American Academy of Facial Esthetics. She is board of Trustee to the North Carolina Dental society and a past president of her district. She is licensed to practice dentistry in the states of North Carolina, Colorado, Arizona, UT and Nevada. She has also been published in Dental Economics, Incisal Edge, and has presented at dental meetings across the country. She currently sits on the scientific editorial board with Dental Economics. In addition to Dr. Walker’s American Ninja Warrior achievements, she is also a two (2) time national fitness champion, pro fitness competitor, and an adult gymnastics competitor. She has been a nationally ranked as an amateur triathlete competitor, is a Boston Marathon Finisher, and CrossFit champion. Most recently she has set 3 powerlifting world records and claimed the women's master's division World Powerlifting title. Dr. Walker has creatively integrated her love of fitness into dentistry by transforming her private office into a Ninja training suite - equipped with rings from the ceiling, bars on the wall, and a balancing slack line. Outside of her dental practice, she channels her passion into Femme Strong, a coaching company she founded to empower women through fitness and nutrition, helping them unlock their inner strength and reach their peak health and confidence.
