Dr. Helder B. Jacob DDS, MSc, PhD

Dr. Helder Baldi Jacob is currently Clinical Associate Professor and Program Director in the Department of Developmental Sciences, Division of Orthodontics at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences College of Dentistry, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He completed his dental education in Brazil in 1994 at Sao Paulo State University Araraquara School of Dentistry (UNESP). He received his postgraduate certificate in Orthodontics from UNESP in 1999 where he also received his Master (2006) and Doctorate (2011) degrees. After his postdoctoral at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry, Dr. Jacob moved to the department of orthodontics at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Dentistry (UTHealth). In 2024, he became ABO certified after completing in 2022 the advanced standing program in orthodontics at UTHealth. During his academic career, Dr. Jacob has been active in the AAO being member of the Council of Scientific Affairs and former president of the Society of Educators.
