Hyo-Sang Park DDS, MSD, PhD
Dr. Hyo-Sang Park is a professor at department of Orthodontics, School of Dentistry, Kyungpook National University, Daegu, Korea. He graduated from the same school and finished his PhD in 1997. He was a visiting professor at the University of Oklahoma in 2001 and 2002. He has done pioneer work and extensive research on the development of microimplants. He has been using microimplants for 12 years, owns ten patents, and has written more than 50 international articles, five text books, and seven chapters dealing with orthodontic microimplants. With the aid of microimplants, clinicians are able to treat openbite orthodontically without orthognathic surgery but with similar results.
