Dr. Hyo-Sang Park DDS, MSD, PhD

Dr. Hyo-Sang Park is Professor and chair at the Department of Orthodontics, Kyungppok National University, Daegu, Korea. He did pioneer works and extensive researches the on development of microimplants since 1999. He has been using microimplants for 25 years, owns ten patents, and wrote more than 100 international articles, seven textbooks, and ten chapters dealing with Orthodontic Microimplants. His articles were cited in the orthodontic journals over 11,000 times. He has spoken to world-renowned orthodontic meetings more than 90 times as a keynote speaker and provided 2 or 3 days of microimplants training course internationally more than 270 times. He has published over 150 international articles in the major journals including AJODO, Angle Orthod, KJO, and etc. He is doing researches concerning clinical use of microimplants, its biomechanics, and animal experiments to improve Microimplants. Recently he is working on the development of easy and efficient mechanics for clear aligner treatment. His research background was immunhistochemical studies for neurotransmitters following tooth movement and growth studies using rats as an experimental animal.
