Dr. Hyo-Sang Park DDS, MSD, PhD

Currently, Dr. Hyo-Sang Park serves as Professor and Chair of the Department of Orthodontics at Kyungpook National University in Daegu. Since 1998, he has been a pioneer in the development and clinical application of orthodontic microimplants. With over 26 years of experience using microimplants, he holds ten patents and has authored more than 130 international journal articles, six textbooks, and ten book chapters focused on orthodontic microimplants. His work has been cited over 10,900 times in orthodontic literature (Google Scholar), reflecting his significant impact on the field. He has been invited to speak at over 90 prestigious international orthodontic meetings as a keynote speaker and has conducted more than 290 international 2- to 3-day training courses on microimplant techniques. His current research focuses on the clinical use and biomechanics of microimplants, experimental advancements to improve microimplant-based treatments, and the integration of clear aligners with microimplant therapy.
