Dr. Jean Marc Retrouvey earned his DMD from the Université de Montréal in 1978, followed by a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master’s in Oral Biology from Boston University in 1993. He is a life member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), a board-certified orthodontist (ABO), and a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. For 20 years, Dr. Retouvey served as Director of the Division of Orthodontics at McGill University. He also held the Leo Rogers Chair and was an Endowed Professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City from 2019 to 2023. Currently, he is Senior Faculty in the Department of Molecular Genetics at Baylor College of Medicine and an Invited Professor at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He is also an honorary Professor at Ho Chi Minh University where he has taught orthodontics for more than 12 years. In addition, he is a Principal Investigator in the Brittle Bone Disease Consortium Research project, funded by NIH R01 grants since 2013. Dr. Retrouvey's primary interests focus on the development of AI-driven 3D technologies for diagnosis and treatment planning, as well as integrating all aspects of 3D printing into orthodontic practices. He enjoys teaching biomechanics to residents and in conferences.
