Dr. Jonas Bianchi DDS, MSc, PhD

University of the Pacific

Dr. Jonas Bianchi is an assistant faculty professor of Orthodontics at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. He graduated from the State of Sao Paulo University in Brazil, where he acquired his orthodontics training, obtained his master's degree, and completed his PhD in collaboration with the University of Michigan. Additionally, he finished a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan. His research primarily focuses on data science approaches and artificial intelligence to develop decision support systems in dentistry. Currently, he conducts research at the CRIL lab alongside orthodontic residents from the University of the Pacific. He maintains collaborations with the University of Michigan, State of Sao Paulo University, and the University of North Carolina (USA) for research activities related to CBCT images and patient data. In his orthodontic practice, Dr. Bianchi employs an evidence-based approach, utilizing various protocols and personalized treatments that involve segmented mechanics, straight-wire techniques, TADs, and orthopedic appliances.
