Dr. Jonas Bianchi DDS, MSc, PhD

Dr. Jonas Bianchi serves as an Assistant Professor of Orthodontics at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. He holds both a master's and a PhD from the State University of São Paulo (UNESP) and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan. Dr. Bianchi's research centers on the innovative integration of data science, artificial intelligence, and advanced 3D imaging technologies to enhance diagnostic and treatment methodologies. His collaborative efforts with leading institutions, including the University of Michigan and the University of North Carolina, contribute to NIH-funded research initiatives aimed at advancing orthodontic care. In his clinical teaching, Dr. Bianchi emphasizes evidence-based practices and a comprehensive range of treatment modalities, such as segmented mechanics, aligner therapy, straight-wire techniques, temporary anchorage devices (TADs), 3D-printed appliances, and orthopedic interventions.
