Dr. Kathy Russell DDS, MSc
Dr. Kathy Russell is a graduate of Dalhousie University (Halifax, NS) and the University of Toronto with a MSc degree focusing on cleft lip and palate. She is presently a full tenured professor and Head of Orthodontics at Dalhousie University and Cleft Team Orthodontist at the IWK Health Centre. Her research focus is related to the benefits of early secondary alveolar bone grafting and include growth, impacted canines, periodontal health, and burden of care. Her research with the Americleft Group has involved inter-disciplinary studies with colleagues from around the world on various cleft teams.
