Dr. Lina Sharab DDS, MS, MSc

Dr. Lina Sharab is an Associate Professor and the Director of the Craniofacial Biology Externship Program at the University of Kentucky. She earned her DDS degree from Alba’th University, Syria. She completed a Master of Biomaterial Science and a fellowship in Orthodontics from the State University of NY at Buffalo (UB). Then She Earned a Master of Science with Clinical Certification in Orthodontics from the University of Kentucky. Dr. Sharab is a recipient of multiple awards from orthodontic and dental organizations including the AAO, AAOF, SAO, AAL, ADEA, and the University of Kentucky. In addition to practicing as a board-certified practicing orthodontist, she is heavily involved in dental education and clinical research. Her research was published in many prestigious journals, including the Journal of Dental Education, the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, Orthodontic Craniofacial Research, and Journal of Oral Implantology, Dr. Sharab is an invited speaker at many national and international meetings and conferences.
