Dr. Richa Dutta DDS, MSD
Dr. Richa Dutta is an orthodontist, entrepreneur, mother, wife, avid reader, and a passionate community leader. She is a strong advocate for both her patients and fellow orthodontists, driven by a lifelong commitment to excellence, education, and service. Orthodontics is more than Dr. Dutta’s profession— it is her passion and calling. Her dental journey began in India, where, as a fourth-year dental student, she discovered that designing beautiful smiles brought her the deepest sense of fulfillment. Determined to pursue this calling, she moved to the United States to specialize in orthodontics. Dr. Dutta completed an Advanced Standing Program at the University of Southern California—where she proudly became a lifelong Trojan fan—followed by her Master’s degree in Orthodontics from Boston University. Beyond the office, Dr. Dutta is a dedicated advocate and leader within the orthodontic community. She has served as a delegate and delegate chair to the American Association of Orthodontists, President of the Maryland State Society of Orthodontists, and is currently the consultant to the AAO Council on Benefits. She is deeply committed to mentorship and community service, frequently volunteering at local events, guiding younger colleagues, and inspiring the next generation of dental professionals. Dr. Dutta actively mentors’ high school and college students interested in dentistry and runs an internship program to provide hands-on opportunities for students within the community. Her leadership, compassion, and commitment to innovation are reflected in every aspect of her work.
