Dr. Scott Conley DMD
Dr. R. Scott Conley is Associate Professor and Program Director in the Department of Orthodontics and Oral Facial Genetics at the Indiana University School of Dentistry. Dr. Conley received his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his orthodontic degree from the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Since completing his education, he has spent over twenty-five years on the full-time faculty at a variety of leading dental and medical schools including Vanderbilt University Medical Center, University of Michigan and now Indiana University. During his service at these top tier medical and dental institutions, he has collaborated with not only adult and pediatric sleep teams but also orthognathic surgery teams to provide care for patients of all ages. Dr. Conley has held leadership positions at the university, regional, and national levels. He is the past recipient of two Biennial Edward H. Angle Research Awards, an American Journal of Orthodontics CDABO Case Report of the Year and has successfully obtained over $400,000 in research grant funding. Dr. Conley is currently the Director of the North Atlantic Component of the Edward H. Angle Society, Immediate Past President of the National Edward H Angle Research Society, Associate Editor of the Angle Orthodontist, and is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. He lectures nationally and internationally in the areas of obstructive sleep apnea and surgical orthodontics. He has published in leading orthodontic, surgical, and sleep related journals and textbooks.
