Dr. Stella Chaushu DMD, MS, PhD

Dr. Stella Chaushu is Vice Dean, Full Professor, and Chairperson of the Department of Orthodontics at the Hebrew University–Hadassah School of Dental Medicine, where she earned her DMD, MSc, PhD (Immunology), and Specialist in Orthodontics degrees. A global leader in orthodontic research and education, she has pioneered the concept of Immunorthodontics, exploring the interplay between innate immunity and bone remodeling. Her work has advanced the management of impacted teeth, interdisciplinary surgical care, and treatment of patients with special needs. Prof. Chaushu has authored over 110 peer-reviewed papers, 20 book chapters, and holds two patents; her scholarly impact is reflected in a Google Scholar H-index of 46 and a Scopus Field-Weighted Citation Index of 2.09. She serves as Associate Editor of Seminars in Orthodontics, Progress in Orthodontics, and the Journal of the World Federation of Orthodontists, and on the Editorial Board of the AJO-DO.
