Dr. Takashi Ono is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Orthodontic Science, Graduate School Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU), Tokyo, Japan. He graduated TMDU with PhD degree in 1991, and studied at the University of British Columbia, Canada and the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. He worked and has been working as an Adjunct/Visiting Professor at 14 domestic/international universities. He also serves as an editorial board member for 14 international peer-reviewed journals. He has published 12 book chapters and 278 scientific articles. His research interests include oral/craniofacial biology and obstructive sleep apnea. He was a recipient of the IADR/AADR Williams J. Gies Award in 2018 and the AJO-DO Wayne G. Watson Award in 2024. He is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO) and E.H. Angle Society North Atlantic Component.
