Dr. Timothy J. Tremont DMD, MS

Dr. Timothy Tremont is Professor and Section Head of Orthodontics in the Department of Advanced Specialty Sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, South Carolina. He is a Diplomate and Director of the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Tremont is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and completed his orthodontic residency and MS degree at the University at Buffalo. He attained an Executive Certificate in Academic Healthcare Administration from West Virginia University. Dr. Tremont’s academic focus is on diagnosis, treatment planning and clinical strategies. Known for his patient and effective teaching style, he lectures nationally and internationally, and regularly provides courses on subject matter relating to orthodontics and orthognathic surgery.
