Tingxi Wu DDS, PhD
Dr. Tingxi Wu is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Alabama and Adjunct Professor at ADA Forsyth Institute. She earned her DDS from West China School of Stomatology, Sichuan University, and completed her PhD and orthodontic specialty training at the University of California, Los Angeles. Prior to this role, she served as Assistant Professor and Director of Orthodontic and Craniofacial Development Research at the ADA Forsyth Institute and previously held faculty appointments at the University at Buffalo, State University of New York. Dr. Wu’s work integrates basic, clinical, and translational research, focusing on microbial interactions, biofilm formation, and orthodontic-associated oral microbial diseases, alongside developing preventive and therapeutic strategies. She is actively engaged in orthodontic clinic research and technology innovation. She served as President of both the IADOCR/AADOCR Orthodontic Section and the Boston Section in the past year.
