Dr. Wellington Rody DDS, MS

Dr. Wellington Rody is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) and a member of the Edward H Angle Society of Orthodontists (EHASO). He earned his dental degree from the Federal University of Espirito Santo (Brazil), a certificate in Orthodontics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (Brazil), an Advanced Dental Education degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from the University of Florida (Gainesville) and a Master’s degree in Oral Biology from the University of Washington (Seattle). Dr. Rody has over 25 years of clinical experience as an orthodontist and is heavily involved in the overall clinical and didactic education of orthodontic residents. Dr. Rody is an Associate Editor of The Angle Orthodontist journal. He has been funded from the AAO foundation (AAOF), industry and the NIH for his work in translational research projects that are relevant to orthodontics. He currently serves as Chair of the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of Pittsburgh. At the AAO, Dr. Rody is a member of the AAOF Planning and Awards Review Committee (PARC) and has been appointed as the Pennsylvania Director of the Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists (GLAO).
