Orthodontists were relatively cognizant about the airway for a long time, however with the increasing availability and use of 3D imaging this awareness has evolved into having a direct impact on diagnosis and treatment planning. This webinar will review the norms for various malocclusions along with the effects of various surgical movements through orthognathic surgery as well as orthodontic treatment involving extractions.

After this lecture you will be able to:

1.) Discuss methods for evaluating the airway.
2.) Identify and recognize normal values for airway dimensions.
3.) Evaluate current literature on orthodontics and airway.
4.) Discuss new knowledge with emphasis on surgical movements and extractions.

Dr. Kadioglu received his dental degree from Istanbul University and his certificate in orthodontics and MS degree from the University of Oklahoma. He joined the Department of Orthodontics at OU as an assistant professor and received full-time faculty teaching fellowships from the AAO and the AAOF. He is currently the director of the Graduate Program at OU and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontists. His research interests include 3D imaging, TADs, and clinical translational research.

Length of session:
Each session consisting of lecture and audience questions will last 75 minutes.
