Clear aligner therapy continues to become a more significant part of growing orthodontic practices. With this continued expansion in the orthodontic market, companies are offering new products and services to be able to find a niche in the clear aligner market. Clear aligner therapy has introduced a number of changes to the orthodontic workflow - scanning, virtual tooth movement, and in-house 3D printing. Assistants are going to be required to be intimately involved in all phases of clear aligner therapy. This lecture will review the clinical assistant's role in the fast changing world of clear aligner therapy.

Describe the workflow involving clear aligner treatment.
Identify new tasks to be learned to stay current with 3D treatment planning and delivery of clear aligner therapy.
