One Clinician's Journey with 3D Imaging and 3D Printing Over the Past Decade
Dr. Lin will review his experiences, guidelines, and protocols with both cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) and 3D printing. He believes that the orthodontic profession is transitioning into 3D digital treatment for our patients as the standard of care. Both CBCT and 3D printing are major technology differentiators in making this transition happen and, most importantly, are improving the quality of care which orthodontists are able to provide to their patients.
Learning Objectives:
Discuss the difference between low dose and regular dose CBCT and the appropriate times to use them in the clinical setting
Describe the process and technology for 3D printing
Explain the different applications of 3D printing in orthodontics
