Arch Form: The Forgotten Factor in Finishing

Finishing starts at the beginning of treatment when we plan our treatment objectives, mechanics, and how to stay on "track". With the myriad of details to think about, arch form is often overlooked, as it is conveniently provided to us in preformed arch wires. This lecture will discuss the choices, review some of the evidence, and provide a method to select and maintain the appropriate arch form on an individualized basis.
