Can Aligners Correct Skeletal Malocclusions?

Clincheck simulations are great marketing tools that make any dental, and maybe even skeletal changes, seem possible. This lecture highlights differences between simulated versus actual dental and skeletal mandibular rotational changes. The superimposition of actual digital models and CBCT scans of our patients’ treatment reveal challenges in treatment efficiency for correcting skeletal problems with tooth supported solutions, and their unknown TMJ health effects.
