Cone beam computed tomography is a relatively new 3D imaging technology available to the orthodontic practice. This presentation is designed to provide an overview of CBCT for the orthodontic clinic. Covered topics include clinically relevant CBCT physics, appropriate scan protocols for the orthodontic patient, and radiation dose/risk.
