Recent evidence will be reviewed, and the main critical points of the digital protocol will be discussed and analyzed. An in-depth overview and analysis of the 1-visit protocol will be provided, with interesting points of reflection for the optimization of this technique and with tips for clinicians approaching the protocol for the first time. In the last part of this course, future research perspectives will be suggested.
