Ectopic Eruption: As Many Scenarios as You Can Think Of!
Date
January 24, 2025
The different diagnostic and management aspects of ectopic eruption will be described with a detailed three-dimensional approach. This problem can affect almost every tooth in the mouth during craniofacial growth and development. Examples of impacted incisors and canines, ectopic premolars, submerged deciduous teeth, permanent molar crowding, mesioangulated ectopically positioned molars affecting the deciduous second molars, among others, will be covered. The importance of early versus late diagnosis and its correlation with treatment severity and consequent complexity will be presented throughout different clinical situations. Long-term follow-up based on photographic records of every session will enable the audience to see how these cases evolve from deciduous to permanent dentition. Success and failure scenarios will also be shared with the audience.
Learning Objectives
Evaluate the diagnosis of different ectopic situations occurring at diverse craniofacial growth and development stages.
