Impaction Management, One of Orthodontics Biggest Challenges

Management of impactions has always been one of our greatest clinical challenges, consistently presenting an element of unpredictability and some of our longest treatment plans. This lecture will review the current literature with emphasis on optimizing treatment time and greater predictability of the esthetic outcome. Review of the current techniques for clinical exposure and guidelines will be discussed in choosing the different surgical exposure techniques. Discussion will also include the management of different impactions throughout the dentition.
