New Frontiers in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics: Exploring Keys to Development of Beauty and Optimal Function

This course is designed to display the ability to correct class II and class III malocclusions with severe skeletal discrepancies using orthopedic technology without surgical assistance. Threshold force level to alter transverse dimension of the palate will be applied into mechanics to correct severe sagittal discrepancies for orthopedic alternatives providing improved facial esthetics and function.
Learning Objectives
- Gain extraordinary perception of the expansive role of dentofacial orthopedics to deliver optimal facial symmetry and proportionality in the correction of class II and class III severe skeletal discrepancies without the assistance of orthognathic surgery.
- Develop symmetry and improved proportionality to achieve the best treatment result for the adult face for optimal long term cosmetic results throughout the aging process.
- Understand that the threshold for the oral cavity and alveolar bone and palatal expansion for transverse dimension development is piped into mechanisms to correct severe sagittal skeletal discrepancies.
